Pharmacy Supervisor

Description:
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for the daily management of staff on the evening shift and weekends. He/she is also responsible for meeting the standards set forth in the Registered Pharmacists' job description. As hands on charge person, to help establish, coordinate and measure daily work functions and job performance of personnel on the evening and weekend shifts in accordance with established standards. Assists in assuring competency of the staff. Works closely with the Assistant Director of Pharmacy to ensure performance standards and operational efficiencies are met.
Requirements:
Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate in Pharmacy.
NJ license as a Registered Pharmacist
Five (5) years Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred
Familiarty with all phases of Hospital Pharmacy required
Working knowledge of Health Care Matters
Understanding of role of Pharmacy Department with the Acute Care setting, its interrelationships with other departments and functions
Pharmacy Computer applications required
Competency for IV Admixture preparation including Chemotherapy
Three (3) years Management, Leadership/Supervisory experience required
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service skills
Goal/outcome oriented
