Description:
When assigned by the Residency Director, may participate in residency and academic programs/activities in areas such as:
• Resident recruitment/interviews
• Block (experiential) curriculum
• Didactic curriculum
• Program evaluation/CQI
• ABEM in-training examination
• Oral examinations
• Resident orientation
• Procedure tracking
• Follow-up program
• Program compliance
• Resident mentor program
• Undergraduate EM education
Supports and complies with the Department’s policies and procedures for compliance and accreditation with all academic and clinical State and Federal regulatory agencies such as the JCAHO, NJ DOH, HCFA, EMTALA, ACGME, RRC-EM and the AOA.
Participates in successful strategies for:
• Achieving regional and national prominence in emergency medicine
• Enhancing the successful business management of the ED through extramural and intramural grant funding, philanthropy, and new business initiatives
• Developing research initiatives that enhance public health in our community
