Description:
Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties may include schduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories,preparing patients for examinations, drawing blood and administering medication as directed by physician. Will assist in clerical duties of office.

Requirements:
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED). Six (6) months to one (1) year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous medical assistant experience or background preferred. Must obtain certification within six (6) months to one (1) year from date of hire. BLS required. Individual is expected to attend some classes that educate and improve medical service skills on a yearly basis and produce supporting documentation. Good English, Spanish a plus
