Histology Technician

Description:
The Histology Technician performs all duties related to the preparation of surgical and autopsy specimens to be examined by a Pathologist. Performs special stains to aid in identification of the diagnosis or disease state. Assist pathologist during the gross processing of surgical specimens. Using frozen section technique, prepare slides for the pathologist to view for rapid diagnosis.
PER DIEM, DAY SHIFT
5:30AM - 2:00PM
Requirements:
Education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by CMS in the Clinical Lab Improvement Act (CLIA) of 1988 and NJSDH requirements.
