Description:
The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for the daily management of staff on all shifts and weekends. They are also responsible for meeting the standards set forth in the Registered Pharmacists' job description. As a hands on charge person, to help establish, coordinate and measure daily work functions and job performance of personnel on the evening and weekend shifts in accordance with established standards. Assists in assuring competency of the staff. Works closely with the Director of Pharmacy to ensure that performance standards and operational efficiencies are met.
Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
Registration in New Jersey as Pharmacist.
5 years of Hospital Pharmacy experience is preferable. Familiarity will all phases of Hospital Pharmacy operations. Working knowledge of health care matters. Familiarly with Federal & State laws regulating professional & hospital practice of Pharmacy. Understanding of role of Pharmacy Department within the Hospital, its interrelationships with other departments and functions.
