Description:
The Patient Safety Aide is a caregiver who is visually attentive to a patient at risk due to meeting the criteria and having an order for a 1:1 watch.
Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
Activates call lights and answers calls for patient assistance promptly and courteously.
Accompanies transported patients to ancillary departments.
Assists staff in completing personal hygiene for assigned patients.
Assists with ambulating and feeding.
Reports patient complaints, problems or unusual occurrences immediately to the appropriate RN.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience caring for patients in a clinical setting preferred.
