Description:
Visiting nurses will drive throughout a defined geographic area (Essex County) for the purpose of provision of direct nursing care to Agency clients in their place of residence.
Implements, in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor, an individualized Plan of Care with the goal of optimal physical, emotional and social well-being of the client and family.
Identifies the need for areas of development in Home Health education training research. Participates in the implementation of identified needs.
Interprets the role of the Visiting Nurse to the client/family, hospital(s) and community.
Requirements:
Professional Registered Nurse with current NJ license. BSN degree preferred.
One year satisfactory work experience in an acute care setting or long term setting, adult med-surg nursing and/or community health nursing.
Previous home care experience highly preferred.
Maintains BLS cert.
